Party with us at Pen + Brush, a spacious, 127-year-old not-for-profit arts space that supports women of all gender identities and expressions in the literary and visual arts.

Special Guest: 21st-century troubadour BENJAMIN ALESHIRE composing on-the-spot poems 

There will be a short program celebrating NYWC's community. A happy-hour reception with wine, beer, a signature cocktail, soft drinks, and small bites will be served.

About NY Writers Coalition

Participants in NY Writers Coalition's workshops become part of a community of peers, present their work publicly through NYWC's readings and publications, and connect with broader audiences. We believe that everyone has a voice and a story and have worked diligently over the last two decades to create safe and accessible artistic spaces in which writers of all backgrounds and levels of experience can thrive. 

From our in-person and virtual public workshops to our new virtual workshops for essential workers, Black writers, and more, we're proud of the impact we have made on thousands of writers across 20 years of programming. We believe that the world is a better place when we respect, deeply listen to, and honor all of its citizens. In uncertain times, creative writing has the power to transform and enrich lives, and we hope you'll join us in honoring that work.
