Join the Orange County Land Trust for a Mini-BioBlitz, an engaging and educational citizen-science effort aimed at identifying as many species of plant and animal life at the Land Trust's 150-acre Moonbeams Preserve.

Various sessions focusing on a category of habitat, flora, and/or fauna will take place throughout the day. At the conclusion of the event, all observations and data will be published and publicly available on the iNaturalist mobile app.

By participating in a session (or sessions), attendees can help drive this effort by announcing their observations, asking questions, taking photos, or documenting data.

Participants of all ages are welcome and expertise in a particular subject is not required.

To register for a session, please sign up using the sidebar on the right side of your screen.

Applying sunscreen and insect-repellent are recommended. Please wear closed-toe footwear and long pants. Please remember to bring drinking water. Face coverings are required and must be worn at all times. Precautionary measures will be integrated into the event layout to ensure safe distancing among participants. Registration is limited to 15 participants per session.

If you have any questions, please contact Jeremy Schneider, Outreach and Programs Coordinator, at Jeremy@OCLT.org
