Join us in celebrating the 42nd Annual PEN/Faulkner Award Celebration on May 2, 2022 as we honor this year’s distinguished books and authors.

This unforgettable literary evening will feature original readings by the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction winner and finalists, Rabih Alameddine, Nawaaz Ahmed, Carolina de Robertis, Carolyn Ferrell, and Imbolo Mbue; remarks by the Award judges, Eugenia Kim, Rebecca Makkai, and Rion Amilcar Scott, who considered more than 500 eligible novels and short story collections published in the US in 2021; and a special appearance by our 2022 PEN/Faulkner Literary Champion, Oprah Winfrey. The event will be held virtually.

PEN/Faulkner has adopted tiered ticket prices for the 2022 PEN/Faulkner Award Celebration to ensure that the event remains as accessible as possible. In addition, we have set aside a limited number of free tickets available by emailing info@penfaulkner.org.
