Come get a peak inside the privately held Cascine Plantation, a Pre-Revolutionary War landmark in our area. Explore this beautiful and private historic site of the Jeremiah Perry family.  Our morning at this private mill pond will include a guided tour visit of the Cascine plantation site, restored Pre-Revolutionary War house, graveyards, horse racing site, and exterior of the1850 Plantation house beginning at 10 a.m. At noon, we will see the mid-18th century grist mill, the second erected on the site, which is undergoing restoration. Your ticket includes a catered BBQ lunch. At the mill site is a restored miller house, a large new "shop" where the current owners are doing much of the mill restoration work, and a presentation on the history of the site, where there has been a mill since 1778.

EDIT: Tickets are $50; the event is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Wear comfortable walking shoes! Parking at entrance only, and private shuttle to the two sites. Cascine Plantation tour is a guided tour and begins promptly at 10 a..m. Lunch and mill site are open at noon and are self-guided. Two sites are a mile apart. Parking is off Rt. 401. 

EDIT: This event is open only to Preservation Zebulon members, 2 ticket limit, sold in advance only and space is limited to 50 attendees.  The 1850-era Plantation house and restored Miller house are private residences and not open inside. This is an outdoor event with much walking and wooded, uneven surfaces - must be mobile to see site.
