RISE will be virtually hosting its 3rd Annual Night of Nations Fundraiser. While the event will be free to the public, this is the predominant source of funding to allow RISE to continue providing essential services to support and empower refugees and immigrants here in Syracuse. Your generous donation will make a significant difference in the continuation of programs to support self-sufficiency for hundreds of New Americans.
This event is a safe and exciting opportunity for donors and community members to witness the impact that RISE has on the local New American community and how our various programs have managed not merely to continue during the COVID-19 pandemic, but to expand. The evening will also honor community leaders who have ardently advocated for our clients, including Aminy Inati Audi, CEO of L. & J.G. Stickley for the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Sharon Owens, Deputy Mayor for the City of Syracuse, Beth Broadway, President and CEO of Interfaith Works, and Michael Melara, CEO of Diocese of Syracuse Charities and Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Onondaga County for the Community Builder Awards. Monu Chhetri, a Staff Interpreter and Social Worker at Aurora of CNY, Inc., and Sangabo Abdi, former RISE board chair, and will be honored with the RISE Ambassador Awards.
Thank you to our current Advocacy Sponsors - Allyn Foundation and Robert and Jennifer Weisenthal and our Self-Sufficiency Sponsor - Stickley Audi. You can be a part of this empowering event by sponsoring or donating today!
