Lulu, I Hear You is a 30-character performance piece based on poetry and stories RTA received from the men and women we work with at NYS prisons during the Covid-19 pandemic. Adapted by Joe Giardina and directed by Thomas Coté, the cast is made up of RTA alumni and teaching artists who wish to share the voices of our members still incarcerated.
A talkback following the performance will feature RTA alumni released over the past few months, who can speak directly to the experience of being locked down, locked in and released during a pandemic.
