Join us for SAVE, Inc.'s annual No Place Like Home event from the beautiful downtown Kansas City venue, The Abbott. Learn more about SAVE, Inc.'s 35+ year history of providing permanent, transitional and emergency assistance to KC's most vulnerable citizens including those with HIV / AIDS, mental health illness, the LGBTQ+ community and more. This year we are pleased to welcome our featured speaker, Peggy Rajski.

Peggy Rajski is an Academy Award-winning director for her directorial debut, the short film TREVOR, a poignant comedy about a young teen whose world is turned upside down when word spreads at school that he might be gay. After the film, Rajski discovered there weren't any nationwide suicide prevention crisis services available to support gay & questioning young people, a high-risk group. In response, she founded The Trevor Project.

The Trevor Project is the country's first toll-free 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention hotline dedicated to LGBTQ+ youth. The Trevor Project now annually answers over 200,000 outreach calls via phone, text and chat from young people in crisis around the country. Rajski served as the organization's inaugural Executive Director and has continued as a member of Trevor's Board of Directors ever since.
