Join us Saturday, March 21, 2026 for the This Is My Brave "The Show" CharMeck 2026 resilience in Mental Health, Substance Use Disorder, and Community Violence show. People with lived experience share their stories of hope on a live stage through artistic expression such as essay reading, spoken word poetry, original music, dance, and other creative methods.
This show is generally at a PG-13 level. For those who would like to attend with children, please understand that the show may contain adult content. We ask that you use discretion for the attendance of young children.

This program is produced by ReCAST II, Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma, and The Office of Violence Prevention, both programs within Mecklenburg County Public Health. We are working to improve community resilience by shining a light on resilience, increasing access to mental health treatment, and reducing community violence. Together with community partners, This Is My Brave "The Show" CharMeck 2026 will bring our community together for two amazing shows of stories of resilience and hope. She Dreams In Color Foundation is serving as a program partner.
A limited number of ticket sales will be available at the door to purchase with debit/credit or Apple Pay, and pre-ordering is encouraged.
Parking on site is free and venue is walkable to the CATS bus stop on Central Avenue.
