Schubert: The Trout — Piano Quintet
Five phenomenal musicians from New York Philharmonic and leading international stages, each shaped by a different part of the world, take the stage—
all having ultimately found their way to New York City.
The evening begins with unaccompanied solo works by Telemann, Bach Vieuxtemps, Kreisler and Chopin, each a distinct musical stream. As the evening unfolds, these individual paths naturally converge into Schubert’s Trout Quintet, one of chamber music’s most joyful and life-affirming works, born out of listening, mutual appreciation, and the simple act of making something nurturing together.
Five streams. One river.
Tonight, that river flows through New York City.
