The Jewish Days of Awe: Lessons from Ancient Liturgy for Healing Ourselves and our Broken World
We are in a season of deep reflection in the Jewish calendar. We will gather to mark the Jewish New Year through study of sacred texts that focus on teshuva (turning towards our highest selves/repair), tefila (prayer), and tzedakah (righteous action). We will also explore the tradition of embracing Yom Kippur as a rehearsal for our own death. This participatory session will also include chanting and blasts of the shofar (rams horn).
