The Entrance Exam will be held Saturday, December 5 at 8 a.m. This year, in-person and virtual exams are available. Pre-registration is currently open, with the $25 exam fee payable online in order to help minimize contact on the day of the exam. Upon signing up, you will be sent a transcript release form via email that is to be handed in the day of the exam (or returned via email for online testers). This form is very important in order for us to properly evaluate your child.
Here is everything you need to know for the day of the exam:
Students must bring two no.2 pencils
Students must also bring their completed transcript release form that will be sent via email after pre-registering for the exam
Masks must be worn for the entire exam
Students will have their temperatures taken, receive hand sanitizer and go through a health screening upon entry
Calculators are not allowed during the exam
In-Person with Accommodations
St. Laurence offers an extended time (time and a half) option, in a separate location for students with IEPs, ICEPS, 504 or Service Plans. After signing up for this option, our Director of Resources Ms. Angel Blackwell will be in touch with you regarding obtaining your child’s paperwork.
Students will still follow the in-person exam guidelines listed above. If you have any questions regarding testing accommodations, please contact Ms. Blackwell at email@example.com or (708) 458-6900 x224.
Online (**NOW CLOSED**)
There is no software to download or install but students and administrators will need access to a device with a reliable high speed internet connection and web browser, along with the ability to open the browser while on a concurrent Zoom call. Desktop computers, laptops, Chromebooks, or tablets may be used, but computers or laptops are recommended. For best results, STS recommends using the latest version of your current web browser.
We will be in contact with families who sign up for this option with details on login credentials, remote testing protocols and more.
