Stripping for a Cure is an annual women’s fly fishing event held on the Snake River in Jackson Hole, Wyoming—but it is rooted in something far bigger than a day on the water.

Each year, women anglers armed with pink flies fish from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on various stretches of the Snake River, from Pacific Creek to West Table, alongside professional guides. The day includes friendly fishing and wildlife contests, prizes, awards, dinner, swag bags, and—most importantly—connection.

It’s important to know: the cost to participate in Fishing Day covers the expenses that make the event possible—guides, food, logistics, swag, and celebration. Your entry fee is not a donation. The impact happens because Stripping for a Cure exists beyond Fishing Day—to raise funds and awareness in meaningful, ongoing ways for a cause that touches our entire community.

That cause is the Oncology Fund at St. John’s Health Foundation.

The Oncology Fund supports all oncology patients in our community, both financially and holistically. It helps our friends, neighbors, and loved ones receive care close to home, surrounded by their support systems, while easing the emotional and financial burden that comes with a cancer diagnosis. It creates community in the hardest moments.

Since 2018, Stripping for a Cure has donated over $1,000,000 to the St. John’s Health Foundation Oncology Fund—one million dollars reinvested directly into our community, supporting oncology patients and their caregivers when they need it most.

While Fishing Day is women on the river, Stripping for a Cure is a community-wide effort. It’s about showing up, standing together, and turning joy, camaraderie, and shared passion into real impact.
