You are invited to The Black Press: Stewards of Democracy. Come and and meet the powerful individuals, who were newspaper publishers, journalists, didactic thinkers, courageous writers, and skilled photographers. Collectively, they were known as the Black Press and as a cadre of political activists, they organized and fought to be recognized and respected as a race of people, and to gain economic justice. They held America accountable to its democratic principles of liberty and justice, for all people.
