In
honor of our 30th Year, we are bringing back a pre-pandemic tradition:
presenting our in-person Textile Center Annual Meeting and Taco Bar!
We
invite you to join us for the festivities Thursday, September 26, 2024, as we
celebrate the past year and look to the future, honoring the artists,
volunteers, board, and staff who help Textile Center thrive.
The Taco Bar will open at
3:30 pm, followed by the 2024 Annual Meeting program from 4 to 5 pm in Textile
Center’s Auditorium. We will present our Annual Meeting program live via Zoom
for those who can't join us in person.
Hosted
by Textile Center Board President Jeffrey J. White, highlights of the 2024
Annual Meeting will include:
- Celebrating an extraordinary addition to our
Textile Center Library: The Donald Clay Johnson Collection. This summer, Dr.
Donald Clay Johnson, former curator of the Ames Library of South Asia at the
University of Minnesota and long-time Textile Center member, donated more than
400 books dedicated to South Asian textiles collected over the past 50 years.
- Honoring our 2024 Volunteer of the Year and
acknowledging all the volunteers who help Textile Center thrive.
- Spotlighting programming successes this past
year and thanking our impressive staff for bringing it all to fruition.
- Sharing the audited financial results for the
previous fiscal year that ended March 31, 2024.
- Looking ahead to Textile Center’s exciting
future!
