Join The Center for Contemporary Art and Claymore Vets for an evening of conversation and refreshments with renowned ceramic artist and Veteran Ehren Tool.

Tool, who has produced over 22,000 hand made cups which he has distributed free of charge to Veterans and their families all over the world, will talk about his motivation, process, and goals for his ceramic work which include helping to heal trauma and bridging gaps across humanity.

Tool says that although he hopes his cups are helping people, he doesn’t know for sure. “Maybe they’re just cups,” he laughs. “I don’t think that anything I do will change the world. But nothing in the world releases me from my obligation to try.” Read more about Ehren Tool in this article from Berkeley News.

The evening will take place from 5:30-7:30pm at The Center for Contemporary Art. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

This event is free and open to the public.

This program is made possible with a generous grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
