Healing Hub Opening Workshop:
Herbalism for Mental and Emotional Well-Being
Meet Matresa Flowers. She brings a hands-on, grounded approach—working with herbs, teas, and plant practices—while exploring how the cycles of nature mirror our own emotional and mental rhythms.
As the founder of ForagingWellness.com, she creates spaces where healing is collective, rooted, and real. This opening workshop will be a gentle, experiential invitation to learn about herbalism, its connections to justice work and ancestry, and try some various herbal teas
The Healing Hub is a place where we can come together, slow down a bit, and be in a different kind of space—one where we can experience healing practices in community, reflect on the connection between healing and justice, and begin building relationships that can actually hold us over time.
This workshop marks the launch of our first ever Healing Hub Residency. We'll be bringing in practitioners for month-long stays where they’ll offer:
community learning circles
one-on-one or small group sessions
shared meals and time to connect
We’re centering those most impacted by systemic harm—especially BIPOC, queer, immigrant, and working-class organizers—while building relationships across communities. This is a shared offering from Sharon Groves (Festival Center) & Richael Faithful (House of Kindred).
