HAP’s Lynda P. Bollman Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care Program and Southern Illinois University Medicine have teamed up to offer a Pediatric Learning Collaborative to any professional working or interested in working within the Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care space. 

These education sessions hope to assist in your professional development, service delivery, and network of colleagues. Therefore, the intent of this learning series is to fill the gap in pediatric hospice and palliative care education, while creating a networking opportunity for Illinois practitioners.

Join Dr. Agnes Donnelly for an informative presentation on working with complex/chronic care diagnoses.

Agnes Donnelly is a current Fellow of Child Neurology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospice of Chicago, where she completed her pediatrics residency after earning her MD from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Her clinical and academic interests center on improving care for children with neurologic conditions, with a particular focus on neurodiversity, patient-centered communication, and advancing anti-ableist approaches to healthcare. An active advocate for disability inclusion in medical education, she has collaborated with faculty to integrate disability-related curricula into undergraduate medical education. She has an active interest in bioethics and was recently invited to speak at the annual Pediatric Academic Society Meeting in Boston to discuss her published essay exploring attitudes towards miracles & religion in medicine. She started journey to healthcare as a Child Life volunteer in college, so she is very excited to talk about Child Life's role in the treatment of neurologic diseases!
