Purpose: In our fast-paced city, gardens serve as safe spaces for people to relax and connect with nature. Although there’s no better way to get fresh fruit and veggies, gardening also has plenty of mental health benefits; time outside can improve your mood, boost your self-esteem, increase your attention span, provide exercise, and encourage socializing. The science is clear: we are only as healthy as our environment is. Here at The Help Show, we are committed to building healthy, resilient communities...and that starts with revitalizing the Earth through promoting conservation, healthy eating, and responsible recycling.   
 

This year, we are very excited to invite you to our Earth Day Event at Redenta’s Gardens on Thursday, April 21st. Friends, families, and neighbors will have the opportunity to get to know more about Redenta's Gardens, The Help Show, and the Lakewood Community. Stop by, enjoy wine and a salad, and learn how to pot your plants and keep them vibrant!

About the event:  

Josh Addison will teach a class on taking care of low-maintenance indoor plants like lemon thyme, hot & spicy oregano, basil, and succulents. Participants will be able to take their plant home. Guest licensed counselor Sherry D. Flewellen Ervin will also be present to discuss mental health and ways too destress with gardening. Redenta’s Garden will also feature new spring decorative and plant goodies for attendees.  

There will be wine and light appetizers served at the event.
