Haroon Moghul is a popular public speaker and an award-winning columnist. He's the author of several books, including How to be a Muslim: An American Story and Two Billion Caliphs: A Vision of a Muslim Future. His essays have been published by The New York Times, NPR’s Fresh Air, CNN, NBC News, The Washington Post, The Guardian and many more.
He helps empower leaders, grow communities, and builds institutions through wrestling with life’s biggest and hardest questions. He’s taught across North America and the world, including at prestigious universities, conferences, libraries, and houses of worship. In 2023, EqualityX named him one of the fifty most influential Muslims in the Americas.
He lives with his wife and family in Cincinnati, where he teaches middle and high schoolers, builds arts and cultural programs, consults with leading non-profits, and builds bridges across diverse communities.
