2023 LGBTQ Community Vision Award Recipient

During Ann's tenure as Chief Executive Officer for 35 years, the Montrose Center has grown from a four-therapist counseling center to one of the largest and most comprehensive LGBTQ centers in the nation. Ann's hands-on leadership, fiscal responsibility, dedication, and unmatched work ethic have established the Center as the hub and heart of Houston's LGBTQ communities. Under her guidance, the Montrose Center has created and implemented programs to meet the needs of LGBTQ Houston as they evolve, adding peer recovery support services, HIV prevention and education, youth services, senior services, a thriving LGBTQ community center, 24-hour crisis intervention, trauma informed care, and so much more! Milestones include purchasing two new buildings for the Center, building the nation's largest LGBTQ-affirming senior living center, and raising millions in disaster relief for LGBTQ individuals following Hurricanes Katrina, Ike, and Harvey. Please join us in honoring Ann for 35 years of service on behalf of us all.

Business or Cocktail Attire
In celebration of the Montrose Center's 45th 'sapphire anniversary,' we are encouraging guests to wear blue or black to the event. As Houston's LGBTQ center, comfort and self-expression are valued over strict adherence to a dress code. You are welcome to come in drag, something sparkly, or however you wish to express your identity. You are welcome to come directly from work or to dress up as much as you wish. We want you to feel comfortable, and we are confident you'll find that our guests are warm, friendly, and want you to feel at home just as you are.

Guests are encouraged to carpool or to hire a Lyft.
