Join MENTOR Newark for Welcome to the Yard, our signature National Mentoring Month celebration. The event will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 6:00–8:30 PM at Express Newark (Rutgers–Newark) in the historic Hahne & Co. Building.

This special evening will highlight the power of mentoring through the voices of partners, supporters, and—most importantly—the young people whose lives have been transformed by local mentoring initiatives.

We will also honor the legacy and ongoing impact of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). HBCU students, alumni, and members of the Divine Nine are encouraged to wear their school or organizational gear.

The night concludes with an exclusive performance by Grammy-nominated artist and Howard University alum Eric Roberson.
