Come #sweatforacause with The OUT Foundation Bay Area chapter for our 2nd annual OUTRun 5K 2022! At last year’s OUTRun, you all helped raise over $1500 in support of our OUTAthlete Scholarship program. As a result, the event helped contribute towards the chapter raising enough money to support 4 OUTAthletes in 2022. We’re hoping even more of you can come support The OUT Foundation and the Bay Area community to exceed last year’s fundraising totals. The OUT Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to improving the health and whole body wellness of the LGBTQ+ community. We are raising money to help fund OUTAthlete scholarships to underserved LGBTQ+ young adults who would benefit from access to safe, healthy, and welcoming fitness environments. The OUT Foundation events are 100% inclusive, not only of gender, sexuality, but of all fitness levels. The Port Bar will be generously hosting a fun social 5K run around Lake Merritt in Oakland! Not a runner? Thats ok! Give us your fiercest walk, strut, sashay or whatever you want, you still get to cross the finish line! So, what are you waiting for? Join us on November 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM to sweat for a cause! Here's how it works! 1. Register and reserve your spot! Can't attend? You can still donate to the cause! Check out the field under the ticket options! 2. Sponsor an LGBTQ+ young adult to access safe, healthy and welcoming fitness environments, choose the donation ticket option. 3. Reserve a spot for your friend! 4. You'll get an email confirming your registration, asking your workout preferences, AND giving you a little step-by-step on how to spread the love and invite your friends! Do you have to fundraise? Does it make you cooler, more likable, and more awesome? Duh! Every OUT Foundation event has a goal of raising the most funds possible for The OUT Foundation. 5. Now that you're all registered and fundraising has begun, head on over to the OUT Foundation Shop and get you some gear! We recommend grabbing some Pride gear. Not that it's a beauty contest, but it's definitely a "who wore it best" contest. More rainbows. More reps. That’s it!
