Join us on the Richmond Greenway, and celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service with friends, family and neighbors. Be a part of this annual festive and inspiration event!
From 9am – 12pm, we will have volunteer projects at our sites near Unity Park on the Richmond Greenway (at the intersection of 16th St and Ohio Ave), including weeding and trash removal. We will provide tools, gloves, and water, but if you can bring your own, we’ll have more to share. Please bring your own reusable water bottle if possible. Wear sturdy closed-toed shoes and clothes that can get dirty.
Parking near the park is limited – we recommend parking on 20th St near the Greenway and walking to Unity Park.
Space is limited; groups must preregister. To participate, all participants must sign a waiver.
-Children are welcome, but MUST be accompanied by an adult and those under 18 require a waiver signed by a legal guardian.
-Valid for Community Service hours.
-Heavy rain cancels, but we will be out there in the sun, fog, and light drizzle. If it is rainy, it is a great opportunity to see low impact design (bioswales and rain gardens) in action!
Please RSVP for this free event!
Why RSVP for a free event? It helps our organizing team plan for the event, and ensures they will bring enough supplies (gloves, buckets, bags, etc) and staff to make the event as successful as possible. Thank you for helping out!
