Thousand Currents Young Professionals Group (YPG) is a group of volunteers that is committed to uplifting the work of grassroots movements and organizations creating just and dignified self-determined communities around the world. The YPG organizes and creates experiences to spread the word about the power of collective action and structural change that  Thousand Currents partners put out in the world.

Want to learn more about how to become a part of our YPG community? Come have a beer (or non-alcoholic beverage) with us in September and learn about our other events and webinars!

Why do we support Thousand Currents?

We believe that solidarity with those closest to our shared global problems are the ones best equipped to lead structural transformation. From Indigenous women in Guatemala to rural farmers in Zimbabwe to young organizers in Fiji, grassroots power is rising. They are changing our broken food systems, creating more just economies, and taking on the climate crisis. Our role is to support them through our fundraising, awareness building and collective action. That is how we choose to stand in solidarity with communities on the frontlines.
