The "Art & Rhythm of the Diaspora" Fundraiser is raising funds to provide educational scholarships to support traditional and post-traditional students who need help funding their education and achieving their goal to graduate college. Please join us and meet some of the scholarship recipients. To date, we have awarded more than 30 college students continue pursuit of a degree. The following two artists will contribute works of art and be available at the event to support this important cause. The following two artists have joined our scholarship fundraising cause by contributing their creative works of art to help students who have financial needs.

Tracy Murrell: Atlanta-based artist who creates striking visual work exploring identity and representation. Her work celebrates the beauty and grace of the female form, using silhouettes to recontextualize images as a way to spark deeper dialogue on gender, race, and beauty. Her current series explores identity, migration, and displacement in the human narrative. Her art has been featured in New American Paintings, Studio Visit, and more. She has held residencies across the U.S. and Morocco, with work collected by Microsoft, Georgia Tech, and FrameBridge. Femi J Johnson is a New York-born, Pennsylvania-raised artist whose work blends modernist abstraction with Yoruba spirituality. His vivid “storyscapes” use color, figuration, and line to reflect his unique worldview. His work has been featured in Afrocosmologies at the Wadsworth Atheneum, Shifting Time: African American Artists 2020–2021, and A Gathering of the Tribes #16: The Black Lives Matter Issue. Johnson's art is also part of the Petrucci Family Foundation’s permanent collection.
