Par And Serve For The Cure! Auction And Dinner – Presented by Type One
2nd Annual Event – September 27, 2022 – Indian Pond Country Club and Kingsbury Club, Kingston, MA – Funds Raised Support Type 1 Diabetes Research and Assist Those Living With The Disease
Type One invites you to join us for our 2nd annual Par And Serve For The Cure! Auction And Dinner. This event will be held at Indian Pond Country Club and Kingsbury Club in Kingston, MA on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
Over the past decade, while bringing thousands of friends and families together at their events, Type One has made an incredible impact toward their mission of funding research to cure type 1 diabetes (T1D) and supporting those in need of help to manage their disease, by holding its Renegade Run Obstacle Course Race. Last year, Type One, Inc. hosted its inaugural Par And Serve For The Cure! Auction And Dinner, and it was a huge success! The partnership with our sponsors and generous donors, truly made the event spectacular for our guests.
Registration opens at 9:00 AM with a scramble shotgun start at 11:00 AM, immediately followed by drink reception and dinner at 5:00 PM.
Type One was founded in 2012 by a group of South Shore residents to support their friend Tyson Sunnerberg, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin, when he was 21 years old.
Type One Cares – Charity
The purpose of Par For The Cure! is to have fun, stay motivated and to connect with each other as we continue to raise awareness and funds toward a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D). Your registration and sponsorship will support our Type One Cares campaign, an amazing charity making significant strides to assist those living with T1D, while continuing to fund Dr. Faustman’s efforts to advance research toward a cure for the disease.
To date, Type One has generated over one hundred twenty thousand dollars to support the Faustman Lab at MGH, which is run by Dr. Denise Faustman, director of the Immunobiology Laboratory at MGH, and is focused on discovering and developing new treatments for type 1 diabetes and other autoimmune diseases. Dr. Faustman is currently leading a human clinical trial program testing the efficacy of the BCG (bacille Calmette-Guerin) vaccine for reversal of long-term type 1 diabetes.
When you engage in a sponsorship for Type One, you demonstrate the commitment to our mission. Without your generous support our event would not be possible. Thank you for helping to provide a platform for friends and families to band together in honor of their loved ones living with T1D and for our community to join in our efforts to raise awareness and funds for research toward the cure.
