Dads Weekend 2021

Join your student(s) for a beautiful Fall weekend in Champaign-Urbana for what is always a fantastic weekend full of fun events, including our 3rd Annual IlliniDads 5K on Sunday morning.

We have something for everyone, and everyone in your family is invited. All profits from ticket sales support Illini Dads Association projects, including scholarships and grants for U of I students and university groups. Thank you for your support!

The Dads Association does not process refunds. All sales are final. If you are looking to sell your ticket you can do so by selling them via the Dads Weekend Ticket Exchange Facebook page.

The events for the weekend are as follows (all times subject to change):

Friday, October 29

• Illinois Men's Basketball (time and opponent TBA)
• Illinois Men's Hockey vs Iowa State 7pm

Saturday, October 30

• Pre-Game BBQ (4 hours before kickoff)
• Illinois vs. Rutgers Football (kickoff time TBA)
• No Comment A Cappella Presents: A Tribute to Dad (7pm doors open)
• Illinois Men's Hockey vs Iowa State 7pm

Sunday, October 31

• IlliniDads 5K Fun Run (7:30am registration/9:00am run)
• Sunday Brunch (10 am - noon)

Onsite registration starts at 7am for an 8:30am run start time.  

The 5K course is located at the U of I Arboretum, which is located at South Lincoln and Florida Avenues.  This is the same course run by the U of I Cross Country Teams.

Commemorative T-shirts will be handing out prior to the race when your receive your race bib if you registered prior to October 1st.

Your customized brick will be prominently placed in Illini Dads Centennial Plaza and unveiled during Dads Weekend 2022 to be shared and cherished by your family, generation after generation.

Illini Dads Centennial Plaza honors the role and impact that Dads/father figures have in the lives of their Illini students: uplifting, evoking memories of their Dads/father figures, reflecting the love, acceptance, and support we all need from each other.

It is designed to be a place where students, families, alumni, and visitors come to reflect, relax, and create lasting memories for generations.

A limited number of customized bricks are available.  Order your's today to secure your legacy and support the Illini Dads Centennial Plaza.

The Dads Association at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All brick purchases are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.

We do not offer refunds, but you are able to go to the Ticket Exchange to sell them to other families who in the past are looking for additional tickets.

There are no guarantees, but there have been lots of people who’ve been able to purchase/sell tickets successfully as the event gets closer.
