Now more than ever, we need regional food security. Local farmers are under enormous pressure due to rising land prices, climate change, and the pandemic. We know we are stronger together, and that it will take all of us to create lasting solutions for a better future.
That’s why Washington Farmland Trust and Viva Farms are teaming up to host a virtual benefit concert to support a resilient food system. Join us for an evening of inspiration, music, and community on September 30 as we aim to raise $350,000 for local farms.
Musician Dave Matthews, a long-time Washingtonian and farmland advocate, will be a featured Love the Land artist alongside fellow Northwest musicians Luz Elena Mendoza of Y La Bamba, Tomo Nakayama, and Naomi Wachira.
With your support, we can protect farmland for future generations, empower farmers, and connect farmers to land so they can help feed local communities and steward natural resources.
Farming is essential. We believe we can arrive safely on the other side of this crisis, working together to grow a more sustainable and resilient food system that works for all of Washington.
