Our mission and history has always been to serve our community in providing bilingual education since Wah Mei's establishment in 1974 within a safe learning environment. We've stood true to our mission for over 50 years and much of it is thanks to our friends, and dedicated supporters.

Founded in 1974, Wah Mei is the first and longest-standing bilingual early education organization in San Francisco for young children. From enrolling 20 students to now providing services to over 500 families with our programs in early care and education, after-and-before school/weekend classes , and thousands engaged with our community engagement, Wah Mei is proud to be the anchor in the SF Sunset neighborhood and surrounding communities for bilingual education, and community voice.
