After reviewing the types and components of historic windows, get hands-on with the glass cutting and putty work needed for reglazing windows.

presentation will cover common problem areas like dealing with exposed
wood, cracks in stucco, and generally what to look for and how to make
repairs.

Ray Tschoepe
Ray
earned his master’s in Historic Preservation at the University of
Pennsylvania and has worked in the field for more than 30 years – first
as an independent restoration contractor and then as Director of
Conservation at the Fairmount Park Conservancy. There, Ray and his staff
worked to conserve about 20 eighteenth and nineteenth-century
buildings. Since 2000, Ray has also taught a core course in Building
Conservation in the historic preservation program at Bucks County
Community College. He is also a regular contributor to Old House
Journal.
Andrew Staples
Andrew is the Conservation
Supervisor at the Fairmount Park Conservancy. Prior to joining the
Conservancy, he spent five years working as a contractor in his father's
plumbing and heating business. Having been brought up around the
trades, he developed an interest in the history and development of
construction techniques and technologies. Andrew holds an MA in
Archaeology of Buildings from the University of York in the UK.
Amy Ricci
Amy is the Executive Director of Newlin Grist Mill in Concord Township, and previously the Executive Director of historic RittenhouseTown. She has also served as the director of preservation services at the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia and serves on the boards of Historic Germantown and the Abington Arts Center.
Tom Heiler
Tom grew up in Philadelphia and learned the painting trade from his father at a young age. He graduated from Temple University where he went through an entrepreneurship program and founded Heiler Painting in 2012. Since then, the company has grown to 80 employees and places a high value on customer service with one-of-a-kind experiences from start to finish on every project.
