Join us for a hands-on introductory finger weaving workshop led by board member Rain Black (Cherokee/Choctaw). Finger weaving is a traditional non-loom technique popular with many Native American tribes that uses only hands to manipulate fibers, creating sturdy, woven textiles like sashes, garters, and straps. Workshop participants will learn finger weaving techniques to create a small keychain or bracelet.
This workshop is intended for ages 13 and up.
