By Women's Health Center of WV
Join the Women's Health Center of West Virginia (WHC WV) for a special matinee screening of Human Shield, a documentary about the clinic escorts and communities who help patients safely and compassionately reach abortion care.
It's been four years since the Dobbs decision overturned Roe v. Wade and West Virginia banned abortion soon after. WHC WV responded quickly, investing $1.7 million of its own reserves to open a new clinic just across the border near Cumberland, Maryland. At the same time, we kept our Charleston clinic open and expanded care to include LGBTQ health and harm reduction services. The Maryland clinic, Women's Health Center of Maryland, is featured in Human Shield, and we're excited to share it with our community.
Join us to gather, learn about the people who make abortion access possible every day, and celebrate the networks of care and solidarity around independent clinics.
We want this event to be accessible to everyone. There is no required ticket price. Simply RSVP with a donation in any amount that feels right for you. Whether you’re able to give $5, $25, more, or attend at no cost, we’d love to have you with us.
