Helps us keep outdoor adventure free and accessible to hundreds of young people in South King County!
Have you heard of Y.E.T.I.? And no, we are not talking about a cooler company! For 15 years, Y.E.T.I. has worked in South King County with young people to access their public lands through free outdoor adventures. After-school clubs, partnership programs, field trips, and weekend outings, complete with food, transportation, equipment, and instruction, make it possible for the next generation to benefit from the physical and mental health benefits of time outside. ALL AT NO COST TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE!
For many young people, getting outside isn’t easy. Costs for gear, transportation, and food can make it feel out of reach. Like we said above, that’s exactly why Y.E.T.I. exists. But with changes in the state budget and the cut of grant programs, Y.E.T.I. has lost 30% of its expected funding ($200,000), and we’re still working hard to recover that support in other ways.
That’s why the Burien community, Y.E.T.I. supporters, families, and neighbors who care about young people and the outdoors are coming together to raise what’s needed to make Y.E.T.I. trips possible through our Movie Night Fundraiser!
Join us for a casual outdoor movie night on Thursday, April 30th from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Y.E.T.I. lot in Burien, featuring short films about youth, adventure, inclusion, and outdoor fun, all while supporting young people getting outside with Y.E.T.I.
Bring a friend, grab some pizza, settle into a camp chair, and enjoy a meaningful night under the sky.
We’re offering sliding scale tickets to keep this event accessible while supporting Y.E.T.I.’s programs:
Every ticket helps create more opportunities for young people to experience outdoor adventure.
