YourPassion1st, in partnership with My Chi My Future, Project Exploration, The John Walt Foundation,  The West Side Chamber of Commerce, Mi Casa Holiday, Paint The City, The Chicago Park District, 15th District CPD, Chicago West Side Sports, SLAM, City of Refuge, Light Up Lawndale, Praxis Institute, and a number of other community partners will be hosting our 2nd Annual Youth Empowerment Music Festival themed:

More Than A Number...

...because our youth are more than just the statistics that attempt to generalize them. Our youth are unique, they're talented, and they just need more supportive safe spaces that promote hope, creativity, and connection.

This FREE festival, hosted at Columbus Park, will feature a range of engaging, educational and inspirational activities for families, with a focus on youth. This will include, but is not limited to: music performances from Austin residents like Queen Prophecy & Mani Jurdan, food vendors like Chef Zita Smith, a Favorite Dish contest, resources around mental health, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship, and job opportunities, as well as opportunities for young adults to showcase their talents and passions. Additionally there will be yoga, group meditation, a senior area with knitting and dominos, and a kids' area with games, bouncy houses, bubbles, jump rope, and water balloons.

Teens & Young Adults can come and lounge and chill, hang with friends, or showcase their talent or passion via a performance, or setup a booth to sell their merch. The festival will also host a DJ, a band, performances, gaming truck with Virtual Reality & Laser Tag, a flag football game, dodgeball, art activations and much more!

Businesses and Organizations can get involved and positively impact the community through setting up a booth and various sponsorship opportunities, including branding on our banners, dunk tank, best dish award, logo on the video recap, verbal acknowledgment during the event, and more.

WE REQUEST THAT ALL ORGANIZATIONS THAT PLAN TO SETUP A BOOTH OFFER ONE OF THE BELOW TYPES OF YOUTH ENGAGEMENT (must bring own table, tents, and chairs recommended $50 donation):

Let A Young Adult Explore - open your doors the week of the event, or set up a booth at one of our festivals to allow young adults to dive into unchartered waters in your industry.

Let A Young Adult Participate In An Experience - offer a real-time hands-on experience that allows young adults to physically interact and engage in your industry.

Teach A Young Adult - offer access to valuable insight and resources to increase knowledge in your area of expertise.

Hire/Interview A Young Adult - offer the ability to start a career the day of by signing up for a program/interview

Sell - sell your merch to young adults

Mentorship - be added to a list of potential mentors for our young adults
