THE STORY:

Wine Women & Shoes is back for 2024 and our Shoe Guys want you to vote for them by stepping up and helping them raise money to help those in need right here in Berks County.

We provide SAFETY to individuals and families as they get immediate relief and shelter as they recover from economic crisis through our emergency services. These programs often serve as the first stepping-stone out of poverty, assisting people as they recover from economic crisis to acquire the information and skills needed to live independently.

We achieve SECURITY for our clients by educating and caring for their children in a safe environment. This allows parents to work and improve their lives through employment, training or education.

Our clients attain STABILITY through utilizing our resources that build a foundation for a successful, independent life. People at risk of homelessness and/or poverty may transition to a stable lifestyle with affordable housing, clothing and furniture as well as steady employment opportunities and access to veteran benefits.

By building relationships with our clients, we form a COMMUNITY of support within Opportunity House. We strengthen resident leadership and integrate community building and engagement activities with multiple community partners to assure the long-term success of clients in our community.
