Dear Friends,
On 7 October 2023, Simchat Torah, young adults gathered to celebrate life in a music festival and found themselves in a war zone when Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel from the Gaza Strip. The onslaught resulted in the murder of 364 people, the kidnapping of 40 (three of whom have been released so far) and hundreds of injuries, making it the largest massacre of civilians in Israel’s history. As a result of the atrocities they witnessed, all 3,882 festival attendees have endured acute trauma, and this will affect them all their lives. They require substantial emotional support.
The festival, attended mainly by 20- to 40-year-olds, was themed "friendship, love, and infinite freedom”, all of whom shared a common love of music and expression.
By cultivating a community-based approach outlet to serve all attendees and their immediate families, we can enable long-term recovery from trauma, reducing risks of long-term traumas and even deaths by suicide. The healing and recovery program is designed to build resilience, post traumatic growth and ensure that all those lost are remembered.

In the wake of the attack, the community's founders took initiative and began rescuing community members who had fled into fields and were hiding from Hamas gunmen. The following day, even while still encountering terrorists, the organization established an emergency emotional support service to help members overcome their unimaginable trauma.
The Tribe of Nova Foundation: Goal - To support long-term recovery from trauma for survivors and the bereaved families. We provide a community-based support system that fosters post-traumatic growth, reduces isolation, and mitigates the risks of trauma.
Our comprehensive program is designed to build resilience, facilitate healing, and honor the memory of those who have passed.
On December 7, a replica installation entitled “6:29”, the moment when the music stopped and the inferno began, was unveiled in Tel Aviv to commemorate the victims once the festival turned to carnage.
On December 18, 2023, the ‘Tribe of Nova’ community organization was registered as an Israeli non-profit with the aim of responding to the particular needs of the Community.
With your generous support we plan to continue post October 7th support for:
