Chrysalis is preparing for our 2023 INSPIRED Event, where we will hear from Rachael Denhollander, the first person to publicly accuse Larry Nassar, former USA Gymnastics team doctor, of sexual assault under the guise of medical treatment. This shocking case spurred international conversations about abuse and victimization by persons in positions of power and the systems that protect them.

Join us for Coffee with Chrysalis where we will focus on understanding clinically approved pelvic floor dysfunction treatment modalities and the importance of transparency and self-advocacy in medical settings.

MORE INFORMATION: Dr. Smith holds a master's and doctorate degree in physical therapy from Des Moines University. She serves patients with a clinical emphasis on the treatment of bladder and bowel incontinence, constipation, pelvic pain, and sexual dysfunctions through techniques including exercise, manual therapy, visceral mobilization, and biofeedback. She is a board-certified clinical specialist in women’s health (pelvic physical therapy) and in biofeedback for pelvic muscle dysfunction through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance. She has a background in athletic training, sports-related injuries, and general orthopedic conditions, and her current research involves the effect of pelvic pain in pregnancy.
